Dr. Robet Matas

Dr. Robert Matas was born in Prague in 1975 and grew up un the Federal Republic of Germany. From 1994 to 1999 he studied law at the Ruprecht-Karl University in Heidelberg. In 1997 he spent a semester abroad at the faculty of law of the Charles University in Prague. He completed his legal internship at the higher regional court in Nuremberg. In 2001 he was admitted to the bar as one of the youngest lawyers in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany. In the following year he became member of the Czech bar association, and in 2005 he received a doctorate from the faculty of law of the Charles University in Prague. His thesis dealt with the comparison of the Czech and German jurisdiction.
In 2002 Dr. Matas opened his law office in Prague.
As one of only few lawyers in the Czech Republic Dr. Matas is entitled to advise clients in all matters of the Czech and German law, as well as qualified to represent them at Czech and German courts.
